A new search for excellence in business is on its way, as Bendigo Advertiser, Be.Bendigo and twenty other Category Sponsors and Partners celebrate the 25th annual Bendigo Business Excellence Awards with the 2018 Gala scheduled for Friday 1st June.
The 2018 program for emerging and established business leaders is set to reach new heights as it again recognises the tremendous achievements of our local businesses – from each industry sector.
This year, the program will see the introduction of two new award categories with each award sponsored by an industry partner, whose contribution sees the program run each year.
In March, the application period will commence, following the launch on Tuesday 6 March. The 2018 program is set to allow businesses to immediately apply for a category award – except for the People’s Choice Award, where nominations will still be taken.
Throughout the program businesses will be again be able to take part in a series of business development workshops and events, which will showcase opportunities to learn from industry leaders. Workshops will take place across Bendigo, with various times and dates to be announced, which will aim to be accessible for any businessperson, no matter what your business.

We understand that the journey of excellence is different for each business, employee and community organisation. The 2018 Bendigo Business Excellence Awards is a free, capacity building program that allows participants to
Perform a ‘business health check’ by submitting an application and assessing their own strengths and weaknesses prior to receiving feedback from our esteemed panel of judges
Be part of a supportive community who are going through a similar journey. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with other entrants at events
Have the opportunity to be recognised as a finalist or winner. Businesses who reach this area of the program will receive numerous benefits, prizes, marketing opportunities and have their business profile elevated throughout the Bendigo community
The 2018 program is an opportunity for our local businesses to reflect on their current practices and receive recognition for a job well done. During the next 12 months our aim is to inspire the Greater Bendigo community to become more involved in supporting local business.
Whether this be at a grass roots level of simply placing a nomination, buying local or getting a group together to attend the 2018 Gala Event; we aim to draw greater awareness to the connections between entrants, local employment, contribution to local education and the overall prosperity of our community.
